GPF Offerings

GPF creates unique programs focused on helping group practices achieve maximum efficiency and effectiveness.  Examples of our current offerings include:

GPF Clinical Institute and Revised Group Practice Workflows
The GPF Clinical Institute is a proactive strategy that improves clinical quality through physician integration tactics beyond one-time educational events. The key clinical objective of Clinical Institute is a comprehensive continuum of clinical care, benchmarking, and measurable improvements. To offer the group practice a closed-loop solution from program inception to incorporation into daily practice, the GPF Clinical Institute will produce a revised workflow for a particular therapeutic area. This aspect of GPF has demonstrated success in improving patient care and in the effectiveness of group practices.

Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency
Alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency (AATD) is an autosomal co-dominant condition that predisposes to both emphysema and liver disease. Although it affects 100,000 Americans, AATD either goes diagnosed or the time between preliminary symptoms and diagnosis is long. Currently, AATD is primarily diagnosed by pulmonologists and respiratory therapists.

A new article addressing AATD was recently published in the Cleveland Clinic Journal of Medicine.  Primary Care Diagnosis of Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency in Primary Care Practice: Issues and Opportunities outlines ways for the primary care physician to enhance the recognition of this condition.  The Group Practice Forum is developing a program to support the PCP in recognizing AATD.
